Chances are that this reveal won’t come as a complete surprise. When we included a picture of Miley in that unicorn onesie in a round-up ofCelebrity Twitpics on ELLEUK.COM and tweeted the link @MileyCyrus last month, she hit the follow button for @ELLEUK. Just that. And, suddenly, whispers about a Miley/ELLE cover spread like wildfire across the Twitterverse. We have never seen anything like it.
It’s this incredible devotion that 20-year-old Miley inspires in her digitally fluent fans that drew us to her in the first place. She has a social reach of 400 million. No, that’s not a typo. 400 million people – including nearly 12 million Twitter followers and 25 million Facebook Likes, not to mention the hundreds of millions of Youtube views for her music videos. The world is fascinated by this young woman, who has been carving out a career and a life for herself in the public eye since she was a teenager. She is, simply put, a phenomenon.
